I will post this as well in another forum but I wanted all of you that see this to know Quake Life has changed to Quake LIFE Blogs (www.quakelifeblogs.com) and now has a newer and cooler look. Everyone come and start blogging if you like to share anything with the entire Quake community!

the site is too cluttered, reading there is a pain. finding the important stuff is hard.

design is more than gfx. please let someone with experience take a look at the theme you use

You are the first to say this on the new bg design with lightning. Most like the sites simplicity, but to each their own. I didn't design it but I've been a professional designer for over 10 years and I approved of its look, as well as over 50 other people I asked before re-launch. So maybe don't make things personal next time you throw some experience needed jab. It's fair if you don't like the look of course. Hope you enjoy this community site.

after checking out the other gameriot sites i became clear to me that they all share the same problems. the floating contentboxes over the everchanging fullscreen-background-gameads just dont work for me.

I checked out the site, I dont' really approve of the design per se -but meh. Its just a trend for commercial sites - look at collegehumor. Anyway, point is - design is functional and fine by me.

my problem, is I couldnt work out what it had to do with quake (in the 20 seconds I spent skim reading).

Im not being trite - it seemed to be different authors talking about getting off planes or something. I'll prolly go back again eventually to work out what its about. I has a thought maybe it was pro gamers or something.

And you may have noticed I spent 60 seconds writing this reply - and prolly could of used that time to examine the site more closely - but, I care, and this is my constructive crit

are you serious about the "10 years designing"? it looks like the myspace page of an 14 year old..
