Default Can I switch from using a keyboard to a controller.

OK I have an old Controller that I never needed until now so can I change it from keyboard to my controller?

Yes you can use a controller/gamepad. You should not have any problems binding the buttons, although if it has an analog stick on it then it can be tricky to get it to work (but it can still be done).

Yep, as long as you can plug said controller into the machine. You can also try xpadder to map the keys of the controller to keyboard keys.

I'm actually getting a steering wheel accessory with pedals, so I can do some parallel parking on dm6.

This thread (in full) applies to any gamepad/joystick: controller set up on QuakeLive

both how to do it (xpadder or whatever) and why you really really should not.

Is it so hard to either help someone out with some information instead of talking about your personal preferences of controller vs mouse? Guy didn't ask for your opinion on the matter, he asked if it was possible.
