Mine was fairly recent too, only started about 2 weeks ago and got progressively worse.

Win XP SP3 here.

Hi I also got this messages during game play, then it reoccurred every 30 seconds.

i.e
Quote:
CONNECT_THROTTLE - Connect()
Disconnected: 9 ConnConnectionRefused
reconnect in 16 seconds
Disconnected: 9 ConnConnectionRefused
reconnect in 25 seconds
I know this means that it is connection problem, BUT the thing is that the whole game freezes, sound is stuttering in a loop and you can't do nothing during this time, not even bring down the console. Perhaps you can at least fix so you can check console and see what is going on.

Seems like the friends list... going to delete all friends and see what happens.

Actually no, it didn't... Why?

I can't delete any of my friends. Even though my profile lists friends, I can not actually go into the "Friends" section of my profile (where you can modify your friends by adding/deleting them) and just remove them. No friends are listed here.

So what I have concluded, given the information at hand, is that every now and then my account will try to update status to my friends, all of them. Somewhere along the lines there is some sort of error, as if a method in order to build/connect my friends list to my profile is lost or corrupt, or that my profile is having a hard time communicating to my friends which server I am playing by passing it the needed information.

I have been playing on an account with 0 friends with no problems whatsoever, same computer, same setup, same config, same everything... Just an entirely new account.

[EDIT]: Keep in mind this is my ASSUMPTION. Would need confirmation of what exactly is going on by id.

I made another account just to play. There's a few friends on my list but not as much as the other account. Maybe it's like some kind of Quake-Live friends STD (I'm being serious here) where only adding some friends who already have the bug causes you to contract it too.

Who knows. :3

I've never had friends when I've gotten this error. So at least for my situation, the friends list idea is a no-go.
