QuakeLive / FireFox crash after closing/joining 2nd game

Crashes here as well. The first game always works fine, but when i try to join a second game (leave server, and join a different one) it crashes every single time. Using Firefox here.

EDIT: Fixed by creating a profile for firefox.exe in my nvidia control panel and disabling threaded optimization for Firefox. Using most current WHQL drivers.

With threaded optimization on, I had that crash, and I don't get any pre-game ads as I have a pro account..

The bookmarklet fixes this problem for me.

Now i'm on a new pc with all new hardware. and ATI card instead of nvida and win 7 instead of XP. guess what same problem!!! LMAO.
it must be some bug on my account. That causes ANY browser I use to crash on the ad when joining second game.

this confirms for me its a problem on ID's end. Some weird glitch, that makes me wonder how many potential subscribers they are losing to this. I never even knew what a bookmarklet was until now. and took a semi computer savy guy like me a while to figure out lol.

but this confirms my other pc was not to blame at all.

Just getting this problem now . It hangs before loading QL and during/after the advert . I use FF but tried ie and prisim but the same problem . Updating java [v6.23] , reinstalling FF and QL plug-in did not help . Need help asap , missing out on tourneys

Also : what's this bookmarklet fix ? , it doesn't seem to be in this thread or the quakelive forums

this is a coding error plain and simple it has nothing to do with drivers or settings

im guessing the bookmarklet involves ad blocking which seems to be a banned topic on this forum

QL seem to be working now but , in FF , i'm getting fps spikes . And in prisim , it feels like i'm getting 'mirco' lags now and then .

After I upgraded form vista - win 7 back in August, I have the problem that when I start up quake-live (on firefox) It starts up the game but it goes extremely slow whilst it went normal with vista. With extremely slow I literally mean 1 frame per 5 sec.
When I go to extra>debugconsole? (=foutconsole in the dutch FF) I see a big list of all the things going wrong, but I have no idea whatsoever of what to do to fix it.

same thing with me!. Game just hangs at end of ad or crashes before then. Chrome/IE just crashes. Then when try to restart browser it says you are already logged in. I have to reboot but cannot get game going. I have gone back to older drivers for my nvidia card. I have turned off thread optimisation etc. Still no joy, I am beginning to wonder if this is a ploy by ID to get me to buy a premium account!

seriously im not havin a bone to pick with some peeple here but yeah... this game does have a few bugs that need to be asessed imediately.. thing is i tried this game out somewhat 2-3 months ago and ive just come back to try again tonight to see if anything and nope... same thing again... ive done everything they have instructed to and still nothing. So what now? 0_o

best solution iv found is after leaving your first server go to http://www.quakelive.com/forum/forum.php (bookmark it for easy access)
then go back to www.quakelive.com and you should be able to join your 2nd server without crashing

and no, i have no idea why this works
