Z_Malloc Error loading overlord/silentnight in practice

when i go to play overlord i get this notification on the beggining:

** Z_Malloc: failed on allocation of 4194328 bytes from the main zone

anyone know what the problem is

That's a big map and it requires a little more ram to load i guess, how much ram memory do you have?

i have 1 gb ram but i dont think thats the problem because i played bigger games... :/

I just got this error too; it said to report it and since this thread is already here, add me too the list

I have 4GB of system RAM and 4GB of video RAM (NVIDIA Quadro FX 5800 ) so I don't think it's a memory issue.

It's also a very recent issue -- i just loaded up the previous practice game, so it was running before.

However, the seta com_hunkMegs "96" fix doesn't work (it's already part of my autoexec).

And for the record, this is a very minor annoyance. I like to practice that map because of the large open spaces, but relative to other issues, it's minor.
