I'd like to be able to define a cfg file for each map and / or game mode. It would help managing say_team binds.
For instance most CTF maps have 3 exit routes, it's hard to describe them in a generic way that would fit all maps.

and for different brightness and textures etc even maybe enemy models or sounds for use in different maps, or are we getting too lazy![]()

having to exec a different config for each map (50 configs+?) would be too annoying and painstaking. would be cool if the game auto-exec'd some blank (by default) configs named after each map, that are created in a separate folder (quake live/home/baseq3/map-cfg/), so you can edit them all you want. with some lighting settings, map A is PURE white, while map B and map C arent that bright. having a config to change the lighting automatically on each map would save time/trouble, and make it easier to play.
