DevPick - the only DevPick I saw that was actually played often was FastSwitch. Most of them don't seem to be very popular at all. It's a nice little addon but it honestly doesn't do much for the longer-term prospects of Quake Live in my opinion.
Rather than dedicating resources/time to DevPick - why not reallocate it to more important things such as new map design, game modes and game functionality?
Sorry to break the news to you but DevPicks don't actually take much resources or time. Most (if not all) of it is simple value adjustments to variables within the physics engine, not really writing any new code here.
Devpicks do not interfere with the development progress in any way.
The QL team is obviously working on other more important stuff, devpick are merely a bit of fun for the weekend which only takes ~5 cvars to be changed.

Yep. A devpick probably takes 1-2min of changing cvars and 10-15min to test to see it's what they want. I'm probably as critical of id as anyone, but it just amazes me how much drama these devpicks cause.no kitten ... they only changed a few more cvars, then the last time.

Fast switch was awesom its great that you can still play it if your pro or get invited to a match with it.
