i just started installing quake and when i went to play a match or even practice i can get by the ads but when the game starts the screen is black i can here the sounds but no picture

me to! It happened to me!
This is still happening. I don't see anything on the link from the moderator about this particular issue.
It only seems to happen when I go into "Practice" mode. I can hear the music/sound but there is no video... just a big quake symbol (and the option to Quit, of course).
Is it because I don't have the maps downloaded? Please help. Very frustrating.
