Syncerror never said the update was official...

These changes are still in the development, so we'll bring more information next week in regards to both its content, progress, and whether or not we will be able to make the release prior to DreamHack

Aww... that`s too bad. Maybe it will happen Friday after Thanksgiving, then? Or Saturday? I was definetely hyped up today about the update until you brought the news along - oh well, I suppose getting two bug-free maps 4 or 5 days from now is better than recieving two buggy maps today.

At least we get to see previews of the maps today so we know what to expect. Let`s just hope it`s something other than Small CA, bring us some CTF or duel content for crying out loud!

They did know.
They had simply hoped to be able to test it enough to roll with it today anyway, and then have 2 and a bit days to chase up any outstanding problems that may show up under the public load before dreamhack started.
As he said, in the end they don't feel they've been able to test it enough to run with that schedule sadly.

Considering how their "testing" went so marvelously well (sarcasm) with the last update, I'm glad that they aren't doing another update today.
