Custom Sounds!

If this already exists in Quake Live, please tell so, and how to do it!

Hi,

There are currently many many things in the game that we can config. Models, skins, maps, mess with the physics if offline... but what about sounds?

Wouldn't it be cool to set custom sounds from the console? For example for your weapons, screams, voice comments... I've been thinking if there's already such a folder with all the sounds but I haven't seen any.

So what do you like? Again, if this is already possible, please tell me!

EDIT: Since custom sounds would help your gameplay online, such like loud footsteps or something, only the announcer voice and only YOUR sounds would be changed.

Again, imagine that you can make your custom announcer comments! It'd be also cool if you could set a sound when you make a frag, for example 'You Own!'.

There are no announcer voice flag status siren sounds and I wait when we will have option to enable it.

Set Lucy's taunt as footsteps, you would be able to hear somebody walk from across the map.

How about if setting custom sound only for the announcer for example, also for shooting hits and maybe weapon shoot and explosion sounds?

There will be no custom sounds. Do you realize that I can put silence on everything, loud bang for PU spawn and loud crackle for keel steps? It would be cheating. There should be no custom sounds, just option to change announcer voice to male and female( and to siren signals).

I wrote that already. Only announcer and only sounds that YOU make, not other players. Another option would be able to change any sounds OFFLINE, would be very fun and NOT cheating, since you can already do a lot of stuff offline.

Sounds that we make. This will require unpure server. All quake live servers are pure so it will not happen :\
