Ehm,
don't get it at all.You have to suppose that not everyone is a programmer.From point of view of ordinary PC user like me it looks extremely difficult.No installer,no foolproof tutorial,all looks like a LOT of work.There is not even instruction how to find Quake file in user's PC to open zipped file in to it...When you click on Help,there is just one(!) page with some insufficient info of about five options,You Tube vid also doesn't help much.Gonna stick with the basic stuff,before this gets better,more user friendly.

Everything is explained in forums.

in the forum search bar above, type in "how to make hud" and there should be at least 20 threads explaining it.

In the future, you can private message me for more direct questions and I will reply back within 12 hours to answer it.

Type it for yourself.Then it opens some forums,completely unrelated to HUD creating,and as a bonus,this one.So please,don't pull my leg that everything is explained in forums,when is not.

Reading what!?There is nothing to indicate where to put\open in pc that zipped folder,created at Vhud.Most comments mention mouse settings.
Anyway,I have found somewhere else that I need to Run this command in pc:%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\id Software\quakelive\home\baseq3 but it just asks which program to use to open it and choice starts with Adobe Reader and goes down to like 20 progs which have nothing to do with it.Not only that, I can't even locate QL folder in pc to open mentioned zipped folder into it.Any suggestions?

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
1. go to baseq3 directory and make a new folder called ui
2. Extract zipped files into that directory
3. go in game and open console
-Open console by pressing ` (its just above your tab key) if console is enabled. If console is disabled open it by pressing ctrl alt and ` at the same time.
4. type this out: cg_hudfiles "ui/hudfile.cfg"; loadhud (where hudfile is the name of your hud that you want to use) and then press enter

The hud only works if you are not spectating. There is no way to change the spectator hud.
