So I was watching the All your base VOD on QL.TV and there Greased said that the QCon VODs are ready for upload for quite some time now. But they can't release them because it's Id's decision. So what is keeping Id? Release the damn VODs so we can watch the games.

Yeah I heard the same thing. Kinda weird, but I assume they're having such a good time watching them again and again that they'll never release them (or at least not before Qcon 2011).
I missed the entire event and with no vods, it's like it never happened....
Maybe they'll add them as a premium feature in the next update.

Yeah, so id I. I was away on vacation that week and I was expecting to be able to watch the VODs a day or two after. But here we are 3 months later and what you get is "Id is sitting on them for no reason".
i watched a few matches, but i missed most of it (stayed up all night before > fell asleep halfway through the tournament)... and now there are no VODs for us to watch, but they exist and are available... The hell?

Well Id has some rule about coverage of quake con. Not sure what it is, but there is always an extremely tiny amount of coverage.
They obviously don't want their game to grow. Their marketing strategy (if any) is possibly the worst i've ever seen for a big developer....(in regards to QL)
