OMG! With the help of this thread I am now 1,000,000% better! On the QL practice map I did the entire level 3 hallway only falling once on the bridge to rail! Thats so much for this guide!

Great guide ty for this has helped tons on my CJ and strafing.
Any advice on how to stafe through maps as i always seem to run into the walls as im turning or falling of the edge on a bend. Example would be DM6 mid from bridge to pillars following the curve round i always fall down the gap right by the jump pad to rail. I know you can guide yourself with the mouse to some degree but is it all mouse movement when turning or some thing else.

Slightly delaying the jump allows you to alter the direction to some degree (at the cost of losing speed though). Bigger the delay, larger the maximum turning angle, and bigger the speed loss as well. For anything bigger than 90 degrees doing a circle jump is pretty much the only option.
