Play QL through Steam or through Stand-a-lone Launcher

Now that QL will be available on Steam very soon, do you plan on playing QL through Steam or through the current stand-alone launcher?

I have zero experience with Steam, so I will probably play QL through the stand-alone.

Definitely with Steam. Especially if the patching / file verification process is entirely handled by it. Waiting 2 minute to be able to get into the game from the standalone is slightly annoying. And then there is the notification for the friends and the overlay which will be much welcomed.

Basically, I won't gain anything from keeping the original launcher.

Since the quake live has become a stand-alone client, I added it on steam

    Standalone, of course.

Definitely Steam....I'm waaaaaay more active on it and all my friends are there.

Hell I have my Steam Profile as my signature instead of my QL Profile (which may be sorta stupid but it's still easier to contact me via Steam anyways).

    Same.
Steam is just awfully conviniet to keep all your friends in one place.
I think creating more steam groups and better friends chat would deffinetly benefit QL

I was using steam with the web version (had to write my own exe) but for a nice quick game steam just feels slugish loading just to play

Standalone for me. I kind of like it the way it is.
