[IMPORTANT] What is your reaction time?

Use this test to get the answer!
    http://www.humanbenchmark.com/tests/...time/index.php
Please, don't try to hack test (trying to guess the exact moment of color change).
Target it to get real (as possible) statistics among quakelive players.

If you personally know pro players around, please invite them to this thread.
Very interesting to know reaction time of each of them.

Please post your result, setup and profile on site to see statistics.
Guys, who will get lower then 180, please run many clicks (like 100-200), register on site and post link to profile here.

    Mine is ~195 ms.
    Age 34, male.
    My setup:

Mouse: Logitech g400, 1000 hz poll rate
Monitor: ViewSonic 120 hz, 0 ms input lag.
All tests are done in Microsoft Explorer browser.

    89 ms on 3rd try.
Test is broken, you can anticipate the exact moment the color changes.

Edit: hit 25 ms on 5th try, what's the limit, I wonder? :P

    Age 60, male.
    My setup:

    Mouse: Logitech g100,
    Monitor: none
Computer..Dell D630 lap top on the neighbors wi-fi
All tests are done in Microsoft Explorer browser...I've never used that piece of crap..
I do have a very fast reaction time to free beer, though..

    Limbless_Pony,
I mean not to hack test trying to get as less as possible (anyone can do it), but just hit 30-50 clicks to get the average.

swampy, thanks for response ) Respect!

Try to do the test at some sober morning.
Don't be sad, getting 300 ms, because 35-45 years old guys from my work get 270 ms + without exclusion.

About internet explorer - I use it to check compatibility of stuff, because applications that I work on have to work in IE too.
For some reason I get 20 ms lower reaction time, then in fire fox or in chrome )

    Thumbs up

My score is 191 with poorer equipment. On this computer I do not play so the result is not true. I still think that we reflexes are not as good. Experience of making up for a slow reflexes. There are 40 years of age!

Funny how computers are faster and faster, but average human reaction time is getting worse:
    http://www.humanbenchmark.com/tests/...ts.php#ByMonth

The test depends on monitor used, mouse, browser, os etc. so it's hard to compare times. I got 30ms diff just by testing in different resolution :)

insect, I think that this fact is explained by growing availability of internet for aged users.
More aged users visit this site -> average reaction time goes down.
If you have any other idea why it can happen, please share.

Then after 10 clicks I end up either clicking a frame too early or getting ~50 ms, because I react to the timing rather than to the visual cue. And it's subconscious. Going out of my way to work around automated reaction sorta defeats the purpose of the test anyway.
All it would take is to randomise the cue more. Make the color change anywhere from 2 to 4 seconds after starting and there's no way anyone would follow a pattern.

Btw also the fact that refresh rate, input / output lag or even your mouse key response are all huge factors here... though there's no way to work around these in an online test like this. ;/
