1 and 2 are not in QL or they are not properly shown. although it says 9/10, the teamsize could still be 4, with 1 spectator, and one spectator slot remaining. Not sure what you are talking about here.

Maybe becouse of the same reason? ... since private servers can be made available for others aswell. But i believe in time there will be more settings to choose from.

True, but its hard to distinguish weapon balance from player preference... and usualy people spam this forum with their preference, rather then an objective argument.
ie. ... some like using lg far more and are greatly annoyed by rocket splash/knockback, yet we dont know if they can even handle LG in a proper manner.

Well in general spawn protection is meant for new players, so it is logical to set it in lower tiers -tier 1 maybe even tier 2.

Maybe you are right, maybe it should random rotate, but the truth is people vote regardless of what map was, is and will be.

Well i cant say if it was broken or not, but i can say i like it becouse it makes the game more dynamic... so now even the guy that was defending will go to attack mode and in CTF as a team game... the guy that was attacking before needs to fill in hte missing slot or who ever available... and this can lead to greater team communication.

No, that would be a 9/8 server. You're waiting through a 15s ad, a lot of stuff can change between clicking join and actually joining. Like a callvote to teamsize 5. Plus the server preview you see may not have updated in a while. All servers now can contain a maximum of 16 clients...if the #/# were not reflective of teamsize, but rather of sv_maxClients, you would always and only see #/16 servers (except for FFA), which is not the case.
although it says 9/10, the teamsize could still be 4 - no, it would say 9/8 then. You have to remember that server browser can show state from a minute or two ago, so if you join and teamsize is lower that means they voted in the meantime.
4, that's great, now public servers - no, you wouldn't want me kicking you mid-game just to give you an undeserved quit, so I don't want you to do the same to me.

There is no way id can make more games running if people don't want to play the mode.
9, It's not trolling, it's not funny. It still remains unfixed - only pro subscribers can invite standard friends to premium games. It's like that by design. That's the only use I have for my pro subscription, so it worked at least for me. It's a business decision to offer this possibility to people who pay more (but $4 a month still isn't much), so we can only accept that and think if our need for this feature justifies additional cost.

News web pages have ads (and more often than not have paid archives). Ads help offset running costs and if there was no ads, you'd have to pay more. It's the same for QL - standard users get more ads (and more intrusive ones), paying customers get only stuff around the main content.

Not sure how you consider that doing your job. - if I punish someone for going off-topic, that wouldn't be moderation but just silencing people and shutting down any discussion. Some people would like that, but most wouldn't. Our job is only to keep people within forum rules and keep things Quake-related.

So you see "skill matched", then "more challenging", then "your skill higher", and only then the unrestricted ones. QL limits number of servers shown to 50, so for all game types beside TDM, I don't see unrestricted servers in "your vicinity", but if I select a location, they are there for all game modes. That's the only problem.

I've been kicked for spectating after spec slots were introduced (maybe they didn't know), I was kicked for trying to play on pub servers where a clan was organizing a match (that's exactly who should get a pro subscription - they need _private_ server and not ban everyone who wants to play on open public servers), I was also kicked for being a mod once! :) If you're talking about team killers, that's another thing and I have to agree, but since QL can't tell why are you kicking someone, we'll have to wait for the promised ETQW system to be ported to QL.
25, No it's not a joke. It's simply ensuring everyone has what they want. - ok, but only if you stop them from respawning in warmup until they vote. Otherwise, you'll just see servers emptying because people are stuck on a bad map and nobody can force some players to vote.

Only now you also want to see both populated AND empty in one view and I agree with this! But before they add this, you can just switch between "all populated" and "any game state" with only two clicks, it's better than nothing and satisfies your original suggestion.

What if someone played last map, wanted to leave but loaded the new map already? He'll just leave in countdown.
People on the server know better if they need to do something before match can start, so I prefer to leave that to them. And since it's a command, it can be bound to a key and called whenever you think the game should start (but not before). IMHO that's a better solution.

Yes to 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 13, 15, 19, 20, 21 for CA, 24, 33 (show Private games in the list if they are not restricted), 37 (especially rail jump), 38 (grapple hook is already available in practice matches), 41 (definitely need a better server browser)
The others either have been addressed already or are not needed/worth the time.
How is it double-edged, and where has id said they are leaving it out for a specific reason? It is definitely needed, and this thread discusses many solutions to the problem of it being abused.
Again, in the thread I just mentioned, similar things are discussed. I think it should be 2 kicks for a temporary server ban rather than just 1.
Actually grapple hook has already been implemented. In this thread, you can find instructions on how to enable it in a practice match. So because it's already there, they should just make it an option for Pro servers.
All the sites I can think of that have free/paid subscriptions do not run ads for the paying customers. This thread discusses why paid users (or at least Pro) should not have any ads whatsoever, as well as how it might be possible.

Bump : 2 months on : Sorry to some of my Friends but your now offically gone from my friends list. Now we are playing clan matches and i'm getting shot as i lag as a friend comes online Its no fun at all and the enjoyment of the whole QL experience goes out the window.
So i've had to delete quite alot of Friends old & new ones i've made over the last 2 years. =/ All we want is to disable friendslist during important games. maybe just for pro/premium account holders only ? afterall Adverts are disabled, if its not possible i'll only have people i really need in my friends list. i was thinking of only having the clan leaders and no others and deleting them before an important match and adding them again after. :S
I hope this situation can be looked at and something canbe done maybe.
PS : could you please have a look at the FreezeTag Suggestions or get someone on it.

1. You can kind of see the teamsize already. Spectator slots could just be made the to be the same relative to the teamsize, as in a fixed max clients.

3. Ok but there's a problem here, and that's with the stats. If you change the timelimit/frags/caps it changes the nature of the gametype. Not all players are competing within the same framework of the gametype. This could be fixed if such changes rendered the server unranked.
4. There is an abuse concern with this one. That and in-game vote spam. This is probably worse than the way it is now.

23. There is a serious abuse concern here. It is not safe to assume that everyone who is kicked deserves it. Besides, as it is kicking is not allowed during the match, only before it begins. Does this rule apply until after the next match played is finished? That could ban a player from a server for a long time if the server goes idle.
24. I'd be fine with some kind of floodprot on this. Sometimes voting something a couple times is important though. Spam is not good I agree.
