    Audio frequently... reversed?

I keep getting audio problems where I'm hearing the fighting/jump pads etc in a seemingly opposite direction of where it's actually happening. It's as if I'm hearing everything that's in front of me behind me, but I'm told Quake can't do that, yet switching my headphones around didn't help

Is there a fix to this? Even a temporary console command to blast it with when it happens would be cool.

    Thank you.

You could do snd_restart to restart QL's sound system, but this shouldn't be necessary and probably won't affect the problem.

Left/Right switching sounds like a system sound problem, maybe look into updating the drivers if that's possible. Also make sure your headphone jack is plugged in all the way (dumb but worth a shot).

QL has weak sound in that there's really no difference between the sounds of someone directly above or directly below by the same distance. So a vertical switching of places makes sense, but not a horizontal one.

Thanks I'll try the restart when it happens again.

ftr, logging out and back in again fixes it but it's a bit inconvenient doing that in the middle of a game.
