    I think after a while, they should repeat the modes again from the start - I don't want to see something else all the time, allweaps was fun for example

    sometimes it's better to stay still than to do anything...

    Wouldn't it be better if you actually explore devpicks for constructive feedback from players?

    Or, they could stop making pointless devpick weekend servers and make more needed and requested maps, for example wcp9, 14, where were they in the lastest big patch?

    Agree. Instead of BFG 10K, you could encourage the use of Gauntlet and do a Dev with "Only Gaunt Slaughter Fest" or some... "Enjoy the fragfest" with a respawning BFG sounds more like "Enjoy your RESPAWN Frustration, noobs" to me.

    Lame and lack of fresh ideas, thou...

    You can't just give them ideas, it's a "Developer's Pick" after all; if you picked it it wouldn't be a DevPick. If they want to spawn completely non-competitive servers that nobody seems to want to play (I haven't seen anyone play it yet), and which seem against the target audience of "amateur competitors" which Quake Live aims to please most, it's their choice and they're entirely free to do so.

    There are plenty of good possibilities, though. Unbeknown to most of the public, id added with the release update a huge variety of pseudomodding variables. A short list includes g_grantItemOnSpawn (which is what they use here to give BFGs, I assume), g_spawnItem[Armor/Ammo/Health/Weapon/Powerups/Runes/etc.] (each one disables the in-map spawning of various items), a number of weapon damage cvars including g_splashdamage_rl (which can modify the splash damage of the RL without changing direct rocket damage). It's a shame they don't seem to allow Pro players to use these pseudomodding variables on the servers they spawn, or they could create a lot of different new gametypes.
