    Flying through the map

There's one thing on my mind from quite some time. I often see people rocket jumping through the map, going around in seconds, never hitting a wall or a corner. It feels they are following a path on auto, if you know what i mean.
I try really hard to calculate where my next rocket should go so I can continue going forward with high speed (tunnels, doors etc.) but somehow I always hit a corner or something and bam, stop.
Do you have any tips how I can improve that? Any videos with voiceover? Anything to read? Anything that will help me improve moving through the map, full speed rocket jumping?

    Best wishes,
    a

i'm talking about this kind of behavior

I think best way is practice game (god and infinite ammo) and just jump around. Never actually saw any interesting guidelines, try to look into some defrag.

QL doesn't need more tiers, it needs more players (С)

Can definitely be done without accel.

You kinda have to have good movement to begin with, then you can use RJs to start really fast.

There are plenty of strafe jumping tutorials around.

I even did a short sequence showing the movement keys for a player who was having trouble hopping to the red armor on repent:

Do you practice in PQL or VQL? You linked a PQL vid, in which it's infinitely easier to avoid hitting corners and walls, and frankly, half of what you see in the vid isn't possible on vanilla settings. So a good start is to figure out what exactly you're trying to achieve and whether it's actually doable ;o

If anything, the only thing that might matter is sensitivity. You should be able to do quick and precise 90/180 turns.
