Show both players health + armor (maybe weapons) in duel spectator mode

was watching some games. this info would be helpful instead of just seeing 1 player's stack and the item timings

even with good casters, they don't tell you the other players' stack often enough

Yes pls, also the overlay arrows from the team modes could be useful to show where the opponent is as well.

Erm. It's available on one click. It's not really the game's fault if the casters barely ever change POV. I wouldn't be against some kind of overlay like in team modes to show the data of the other player but that's not really necessary.

It sounds good in theory but in practice it would ruin the experience, because duel is a game of information (1) that puts the players and the viewers on a first person perspective (2), not omnipresent.

The spectator-only item timers already ruins it quite a bit already, since they give away positioning of the opponent (1. Crucial), that aid doesn't exist for players (2. Spectators aren't watching what the players see so viewers aren't thinking in the same way players are) and timing itself makes players and spectators more immersed (3. Ends up distracting, like stream chat really).

Thinking and the element of surprise are what make duel fun. With arrows duel becomes clan arena or shootmania, yuck.

Well it could be optional like every other setting...

but all that hidden information is randomly revealed by casters some of the time... might as well do it all the time if already watching the game in that type of environment

It occurred to me watching qcon that they could have a little graph that would show each player's stack.

That way casters could comment on it at a glance, and you could see that if one player had a huge stack then the other guy has plenty of reason to be careful.
