What helped me a little was lowering fov from 110 to 100.
And setting yet more lower sensitivity, after many previous lowerings - now, to Cat's 38cm/360 (round turn).

More than likely it means you're constantly overshooting your target. You should check my Railgun tutorial first and go LG when you get decent with that.

actually, assuming this is all LG theory, and alot based in dodging, its effective in every single mode...you would be suprised how easy you can regain map control with some slick dmg avoidance in duel..

(the skill of lg dodging carries over to all dodging)

make sure you have the following set for lg to work correctly in game:

cl_maxpackets 125
com_maxfps 125
rate 25000

look into your mouse settings, sens may have multiple issues, most likely just too fast.

I meant the practicing the circle strafing. While it's obvious that practicing with it will help, I was just saying that the effectiveness is probably more effective for Clan Arena where you might actually get into the situations of circle strafing another player. In other gametypes that doesn't usually happen that often.

You're not practicing circle strafing... You're practicing aiming with your mouse... So that you can hit dodging players... I thought I explained that quite clearly. The circle strafing is so that you will get the most practice mouse aiming in as little time as possible.

I think I speak for us "average" players who are looking for ways to up our
game. Its easy to get stuck in a mode, and making improvements then
is hard without guidance.

You're not practicing circle strafing... You're practicing aiming with your mouse... So that you can hit dodging players... I thought I explained that quite clearly. The circle strafing is so that you will get the most practice mouse aiming in as little time as possible.

I fully understood that. However, when practicing, you'd be learning to aim *while* circle strafing.
