Clan Tag Editing (Coulour coding)

hey just looking for a bit of guidance with clan tag editing, i have tried to put the colour coding ^ and then a number so my clan tag then ^5 at the end of the tag but no look its still white..... can anyone help the clan tag is N|B and i want the N in red the | in green and the B in blue if possible....?
