Public frag movie - demos wanted!

Hi, earth_quake here,

Rail impact and custom enemy model

Lightning impact script and custom pov model

Custom grenade skin/model (thanks pa1nkiller!)

Rocket trail (needs a bit more work)

So far I have received demos from:
baconsandwich
brahimpag
qdbp
earth_quake (yes...I play quake too )

But I would really appreciate a few more people contributing, and this is a pretty good opportunity for someone to get their name on youtube!





If you want to be a part of this I'd recommend:


seta cg_autoaction 1


0 = do nothing
1 = auto demo recording
2 = auto endgame screenshot
3 = auto demo and auto endgame screenshot


Then when you hit some nice rockets or whatever at the end of the game just go to:


Windows Vista/7: %userprofile%AppData/LocalLow/id Software/quakelive/home/baseq3/demos
Windows XP:%appdata%id Software/quakelive/home/baseq3/demos
GNU/Linux:~/.quakelive/quakelive/home/baseq3/demos


And copy the relevent demo file (.dm_73) to somewhere safe. Don't worry about cutting the demo, but perhaps re-naming it to something useful like "lg_juggle_at_4.dm_73" would really help.


Then any demos can be stored in dropbox and a link emailed to e_q-n00b3gg5@hotmail.com, or just compress and email straight off.

Thanks for the support but I'd sort of prefer it if you sent your own demos, and cooler and Fraze aren't exactly playing for "trick" shots.

Great, well I'd obviously be interested in seeing some of those if you're willing to send me some Although I would warn you that if you send 425 demos...I am not going to look through all of them if the first 20 are not that amazing, so if you want people to know MACHineRose as the good player send me some select nice ones I don't know how good you are though, you could be awesome for all I know!

Yes I was aware the colour was quite poor in the video, I use sony vegas. How does colour correction work? I've added you on QL

nooo. I make movie ( next May ) now 40 % done. ( i collect demos since 2009) I have many moments/frags but i not use it.

Color Correction change original color , saturation and contrast. Will do wonders !!really ...I will not tell you how exactly to do ( i use Adobe Premiere pro ) but in vegas do the same result...if you want to have a satisfactory result ?? try this way

1.) Firts make calibrations monitor read google This is a simple...
2.) You tube "sony vegas Color Correction ....only listen to ...is very simple

Thanks for the advice, although part of the reason for awful quality on my first movie was the render (such a large file I needed to make it smaller, quality died :s)
