Cool 1 FPS on Win XP, 30 fps on Win 7

    Hello!

I used to run quake with 100~125 fps on my Lenovo 3000 n200 (0796). But few weeks ago i've decided to play minecraft (sic). So i downloaded this game, and it would not work. So i lurked some forums for help, and i were told that i need to switch something in my system32 directory. (it was opengl32.dll or something like that). So i switched that file, (from dll-files.com so i guess i didnt download any virus) installed framework 4.0, and guess what, everything was messed up since. I had like 0-1 fps in game. Later ive tried to re-install all the drivers for chipset and video, ive used ccleaner, antivir etc etc to bring back status quo ante. It did not help (i have tried with almost all versions of drivers). My computer started to crash, obvious gfx problems appeared...sooooooooo i decided to format my drive, and switch to win7. Today i have completed my brave task. Also i have used system update, installed latest drivers etc, and guess what? I have now 35 fps! Wohooo! I know my machine is crap, but i know it can handle QL! It used to! My cfg is as low detail as possible so don't feed me with advices like 'duh picmip 9 vertexblbalabalabl' Please help me! Thanks!

    PC I BE REPPIN:
Os: Windows 7 Ultimate (up to date!) x86
    RAM: 2 GB
Processor: Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2370 1.73 GH
GFX: Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family with drivers 8.15.10.1930

I think Win7 is not a good idea with such specs. I'd stick to WinXP.
Then, your problem could be easily solved by rolling to existing backup sys image, which I believe you didn't have.
    But that's for future.
Now I suggest you get a clean WinXP install with the same drivers you had back then.
opengl32.dll is used by Quake engine, so I believe that's the cornerstone of you troubles. You should have asked someone to just share an original file to put it into directory.
And most of all, that's your bad carma for betraying Quake and turning to Minecraft. Pfff.

Did you upgrade to W7 64-bit? Make sure your graphics drivers are correct for those integrated graphics.
