Overscan on Intel HD 4000 when playing on HDTV

Hello, I have a Surface Pro and a 55" Samsung LED TV. When I attach the TV to my Surface via the DisplayPort->HDMI and jump in to FullScreen Mode it would SEEM that QuakeLive just tries to play the game at the max resolution supported by the display port which is 2560x2303 (not real numbers) but it far exceeds what my TV is capable of doing at 1920x1080.

Even when I adjust the resolution of QL to something like 800x600, all I ever see when I go in to Full Screen mode is the upper left corner of the game.

The 'computer' is a Surface Pro with an Intel HD 4000 graphics card in it, and it would seem that the drivers are custom to the device (not the standard Intel produced drivers).

    Any suggestions?
