game starts with the giant quake Q , only option is to quit

so i tried to run a practice game. and as soon as it loads i just see the giant textured Quake Q logo, and the only option i had was to click (quit)

this is running IE9 windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
amd A10 5800K APU (amd radeon HD 7660D) @3.8ghz
Catalyst 13.1 drivers
8 gigs 1660 mhz ddr3

It's probably because you don't have the map.
You have to join a server playing the map to download it, then you'll be able to play it in practice mode.
If it's not the problem i have no other idea ^^

This is correct. Alternatively, if you're only looking for a specific map, you can download it by changing the "aerowalk" in
http://cdn.quakelive.com/assets/2011...3/aerowalk.pk3 to the map that you need.
