Opinion question, answer even if you don't have a clue.

Do you think the popularity of Call Of Duty is so high because many of those players couldn't handle it on a FPS like Quake.

Quake is not easy and it's frustrating for me but I keep plugging away, but I really think many of the COD players want to own but they can't in Quake, and I been watching a few playing on a server at a community college and all they play is COD on a Xbox,

    your opinions...............................

Partially. Quake has a high learning curve, while CoD does not. Any decent player in Quake can hop into CoD and dominate the server.

    My theory:
COD an similar shooters suggests camping (lowest bullet dispersion when character doesn't move), thus most of the time you need to do 1 thing at a time, while in quake being sitting duck is less profitable. And usually you have to move, aim and shoot at the same time at minimum. Timing items and trick-jumping also helps.

Nowadays if you want your game to be successful, it should be easily beatable with one finger and saliva dripping on the floor.
    Real life? Life is real?!

MG isn't powerful. CoD players are like 'omg i shoot 100000000 bullets and they dont die but i die in 1 sec this sucks cheaters omfg sucks ** FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU' and then quit Quake and go back to CoD.

I hadn't seen that clip before: it was HILARIOUS! Can't tell if the guy was serious or just trying to be funny - but his aim was too terrible to be believed, and he didn't seem to recognize weapon pick-ups, power-ups, etc. Classic rage.

XBOX is cheaper than a PC capable of playing Quake at 125fps. That is your answer.

The correct answer is quake live does not attract kids.

For example I have never seen "megaman_1999", whereas a big part of my playtime in black ops 2 is muting children (isn't there a way to do that permanently on ps3 or in-game?).
