You're where you belong. Just keep playing and if you actually belong in tier 3 you'll drop back down. You're stuck in the place between the 2 tiers most likely and you can't do anything about it.

I cannot see why this line of thinking is not applied to the game itself as a whole...it is way to easy to make a new account with a fake email is you do not have pro or prem..standard players do not lose nothing when they change name or down tier to T3 from T4 or need a new account to try out something like choking their ping..
I am fine with getting pwnd in t4 (is they dont kick me because I am a "NOOB") and I get back to 3 soon enough,I am not fine with some goldT4 player making new accounts every day just to play t3 and hog the server..playing a game where 1 player decides which team will win is pointless,and the argument that you need to play better players to improve is getting old...when I make it to T4 I see that as the time to learn from my betters,not have one plague my tier and tell us how garbage we are and to spec him for tips and how t3 players need to be more pro like him..

would it not be simpler to have email verification or to let prem/pro accounts have 3 or 4 names/accounts per sub at least this would cut down the amount of false fake alias accounts..

Honestly, I don't remember the reasoning behind not having email verification; it's probably just so support doesn't have to do that as well as everything else they're already doing. :/

I played a lot of Quake3 and there were no tiers. The tier system may not be perfect but it is better than nothing. It lets beginner players get a feel for the game without getting totally frustrated. It also allows the elite players to play with people of their own level. Players that get put in T4 and can't keep up will quickly get back to T3. I bounce back and forth but lately I've been T3 most of the time. I like being able to find a game on the local servers. When I'm T4 and I can't find a game where my ping it decent I get knocked back down. I do wish there were more T4 games because maybe then I could compete and stay T4 but I'm ok with it since I remember the non-tiered Q3.

This reminds me of pool tournaments though. Back in the day there weren't handicapped tournaments and everyone played everyone. People who didn't like to lose got better way quicker than they do nowadays with the different classification of players and handicaps.

The game may be more enjoyable though since there is a handicap and there are classifications. If your goal is to be a pro and nothing is going to stop you then tiers just slow you down. If your goal is to have fun I don't know why the tier system wouldn't be praised more.

My only complaint is that there aren't enough T4 servers where I have a good ping to play whenever I want and remain T4.

it would be automated...well you would think...all it does is check if the email is real...it sends a msg to the email used and if you respond all is good,BUT,if you use an email like
slummer@ihax.com...well you wont be able to verify the account...simple..

the only reason I can think that they do not use it is they are allowing people to do all sorts of things, whether it be slumming test hax pretend to be someone else(an account Evi1Superman popped up the other day he was telling people to defriend him(me))..the whole thing sux..it is such a simple fix..and I know ot wont solve everything,but it would be a step in the right direction

Funny to catch this under "whats-new" since I've been going through the same thing. I can tell when I've dropped back into t3 for sucking because suddenly my f/d jumps to 2.0 and I'm right back in t4 again. I used to be 1.1-1.2 in a t3 game. So that time getting fragged-senseless in t4 is indeed paying off. I spend much longer times in t4 than when I made the cusp initially.

No. It only means your skillrating reached 100.

Yeah, I actually meant that they'd have to set it up and stuff. Now that I think about it though it'd probably be sponge that would set it up and not support.
