edit: I suppose I should at least weigh in by saying dji1, your strategy wont work, it fundamentally relies on your entire team outaiming the other to such an extent that they simply cannot stop you. This wont always be the way it goes down, it also fails to take into account any counter-play from the other side, they arent always simply going to provide a target for you to shoot at.
Furthermore as your own guys go down the amount of fire you are putting out will quickly dwindle leaving you open to a counter-attack. I can see what you are trying to say but it just wont come together for you in real situations.

IMHO standing too close to eachother can have really bad consequences. For example you are very voulnerable to spam of any kind, your mates block your view etc. This strategy is easily countered by flanking and spamming.

Thats why in tournament ca you start off with four 1v1s, then after finishing your target/pushing him away you go help your mates. Its all about most damage per second, but you have to factor dmg received aswell (thats why fighting 2v1 is a bad idea, even if you could do lots of dmg).

Pubs are a different story, basically what Cat said. You let baddies take some of the dmg you would take and try to makeup with dmg dealt.

The proper way to play pubs is to hero your way into the group of enemies while your teammates hide like pussies, and then either quit after a few rounds because it works (= too easy) or ragequit because it doesn't (= why bother), and then go play some more serious gametype.

Btw any tactic that relies on the opponent having no brain is a bad tactic.

I think cat has a pretty good understanding of what's going on in CA, and if you post something as brave as a new strategy for a very old game you should expect some reaction. Going full emo after you receive some feedback doesnt help your cause.

or you can use rail gun or machinegun if youre very far etc. pretty simple.

I'll just add here that the use of mg really isn't something I'd recommend unless the enemy is both very low and far away. From afar, the spread makes it so you'll get at best 25% of your bullets in your target. In 1.5 seconds (railgun reload time), you'll deal around 18.75 damage. With railgun and a pretty standard 45% accuracy, you'd deal on average 36.24 damage... almost twice as much. Things get even worse if your enemy can take cover and only show himself when he shoots a rail as you won't be able to mg him during 1.5 seconds.
That's only one small thing I wanted to pick on. I'll leave the rest to others.

absolutely, and for whoever that might be interested, try starting a Ca match (warmup mode) with bots its pretty fun & hilarious to watch.

i tried 7bots vs 1 bot , (you can even got as low as 5 vs 1) then i used the commands to make sure the bots only used the weapon i wanted to.

-- > its amazing to watch them move and react simoultaniousely when the ennemy pops up.

i was surprised at how accurate the bots were using only the machinegun and with the ennemy having 225 health with full armour in a 5 vs 1 you can frag in 1 second < --

Adding to what FlashSoul, using SG is usually a safer option than MG.

did I just read strategy and ca on the same sentence? At least it doesn't say "skill", "competition" or "quake".

Anyway, we all know pub ca = defrag or instagib until all your team's baddies died, and scrim ca = focus one guy (not with machinegun) then move to the next one.
