1 good team strategy for clan arena

great argument but just not a necessary one considering the fact that ppl are smart enough to coordinate a team well enough to go wherever they please (in a safe place for example) before the round starts so no one " back stabs you" or what ever.

Backstabbing and flanking people is pretty much the whole core of my strategy. If it doesn't work, then how come I win as often as I do? Even now when my SR is so high I almost always get shuffled with the worst possible team I still win around half my games.

Being in a "safe place" at the start of the round means leaving the rest of your team to die, unless you're hitting more than 50% of your rails while firing them off very rapidly. If you're going off to some random place to camp you are dividing and conquering your team for your enemy, allowing them to focus fire your mates and pick them off one by one without any fear of getting backstabbed by you.

And yeah, the game is pretty different on tier 4 than it is on tier 3. Something I observe uptiering T3 players often doing is rocket jumping toward enemies and giving them a free LG lift to instant death. Another is that when they gain the upper hand on the designated gathering point and push the opponents off they don't take the rest of the map to gain freedom of movement and flanking. They just stay on bridge/whatever all round while the enemy team rains rockets and rails down on them, and they die, and they lose.

And yes, my ego is legendary. Fear it.

... and pray that the opposing team doesn't have superior railers? Great strategy! I've seen Stermy, k1llsen and 2GD use that quite often when I've played with them. Of course, they're pretty much the best railers in the world so they don't really have to worry about that, do they?

By the way, you know something that works even better than two people standing in front of one enemy (right beside eachother, blocking eachothers dodge and line of sight of the enemy)? One person standing in front of the enemy while the other guy stands at his side or back and hits 100% LG.

The Reason I post in the QuakeLive forums is to either inform or comment on diffrent subjects, in doing that, my intent is to make gaming better.

im in no position to openly insult or to try to prove myself or that im better than anyone.

but it just sucks to have negative feedback such as " not in T4" when talking about new gaming stratgies .

you know very well that even if youre as great as a player like rapha you will still lose if your team scatters around the map and the other doesnt.

then you went on about saying "Not that focus fire is bad, mind you, but you really wanna make sure another opponent won't stab you in the back while you're doing it"

but you could go on for hours and hours picking on details trying to derail the main concept of the conversation too .

so what goal do you have ? your ego is more important even if the information withing the subject of the conversation might be of greater importance ?

To be fair, I more than likely wouldn't have responded so dickishly if he had just asked me why I thought it wouldn't have worked rather than posting that dictionary definition.
