Was more of a warning, just in case. Sarcastic, but that's all. I remember the Quakecon site/forum giving the same advice of.. "You're coming to Texas, best to leave your political ideals at home." lol

I'm experiencing the exact same problem. I live in California and recently switched to ATT Uverse, and I used to ping 64 to texas, but it skyrocketed to 178 over the past couple of weeks. Going to call my ISP later this week and see what the problem is.
