How come DC servers are so much less popular than VA servers? I mean, when I get into a VA server it usually takes like 5 minutes for the server to fill up, but when join a DC server, it takes like 20 minutes to fill up.

I'm not sure. Maybe people are just so used to VA and they think if they join a DC server, nobody else will join. That's a pretty common behaviour in QL with mods and maps so I wouldn't be surprised if it happened with server locations too.
Two reasons:
1. The server is new, and if it happens to require specifying it in the browser, players aren't used to looking at DC/IN. They either check the one or two far west servers that are usually filtered out, or the one or two far east servers that are filtered out and expect the rest to be shown.
2. I suspect that a smaller percentage of the playing populous that are candidates for playing there ping well to it.
