    Improving Railgun Accuracy

I googled this first before I posted so I wouldn't flood the forums but I couldn't find a article so I am asking how can you improve railgun accuracy. My accuracy for rail currently is around 20 percent.

Only click when the enemy is behind your crosshair.

There's aren't many 'get good quick' tips for this game. Just practice.

2 simple tricks that anyone can use and that probably can be found on google:
    - Don't flick shot. Just put the crosshair on a place the enemy will go to then shoot when he is at it.
    - Use zoom (it's on the menus and in google. Don't have to create a new thread for everything). Personally I use the space bar (jump with mouse2), with that command that disables the animation (google), 45 zoomfov, hold it when I want to rail (it is not always 45 fov with railgun but just when I want to).

Those 2 tips should increase your rail acc. by 10%.

Do you mouse aim, strafe aim or flick? Do you predict and wait for him to enter the bullseye or continuously track the target with the bullseye?

Not that I can give many tips as I am stuck at 20% with you.

People also say that cg_railstyle 2 (the Quake 2 style spiral) gives a more accurate rail beam location that cg_railstyle 1.

Play vs the hardest difficulty bots. I normally get around 40% on CA with them, but i normally flee when i'm getting ambushed and shoot from a distance. Find a good crosshair that works for you, perhaps? I flick. My overall says 29% rail gun, but i think it's more like 20-22, as i normally get that ingame.

No. offline does not count toward your stats.
I don't agree with the above...tips. a good flick rail is an acquired art form and can be deadly. And zoom can get you killed if used a lot. It has it's time though.

Online is a better place, but it's to help train your RG. Cat has a youtube video of RG training i think? You wont be come a 40-50% RG playing bots, though. Try out Instagib servers if they become avail aswell.
