Can we convince ID to make all gametypes standard, still having all else in place???

Now this is a pretty tall request, and I do not responses that tell me I am being demanding... I am being demanding, but everyone who replies that this is an unjustified demand obviously has no clue on what it is like to host Domination, Harvester, or Attack & Defend.....

Despite the popularity of the sampler servers, which is a "card" that people will play in defense to having all gametypes standard, servers with these gametypes will never be consistently active for more than 1 game with how ID is currently operating...

With an auto invite script where any friend of mine can type anything to me and have an invite sent, and over 1000 friends on QuakeLive (or so it seems), I am having as much trouble as ever getting a game of Harvester going...

It is not that these mods are unappealing to the playerbase, and I can say with confidence that when I get these gametypes running, people enjoy them (actually 'love' is a more suitable word).. Besides being exclusively premium gametypes, the thing that ensures that nobody will ever be able to fill up a server of these gametypes going is that THE STANDARD PLAYERS CANNOT SEE THAT THE GAME EXISTS IN THE MATCH BROWSER.... Except for my few select friends that actually bother to see what I'm playing from time to time, all of the quake standard community doesn't even see that the game exists, and therefore, will never be inclined to ask somebody for an invite...

On a good night, I can create a server and get a quick 5v5 game going by inviting all 150 friends that are online to my server, but due to the lack of player flow in and out, all it takes is one person to rage after that first game to have a domino effect of raging, which results in players missing that are not easily replenishable.... The best thing ID can do for the game is to make all gametypes available for standard players... This would not undermine their business, in fact, it may actually increase it as more people begin to actually see all that ID has to offer rather than just hear through the grapevine about this gametype called Attack & Defend, with all talk but no show.... Keeping the standard map rotation in accordance with these mods, there is no good reason not to make all the gametypes readily available to free users... However, if they want to play premium maps, there will still be a 5 invite limitation and the slot system.... If nobody replies to this idea, it will never get as far as it has potential to get, so I am going to get additional posts on this thread if I need to dig deep into the ground for them....

    - Lovingly yours

I think it would be nice if ID would make all gametypes standard, but I don't think they will. its one of the draws for people to pay for the game. Money! Money!! Money!!!

Rockvillerideon has posted repeatedly about this very thing. Considering he registered on august it's safe to say it is best to ignore him on this matter and others that he likes to repeat a lot (instagib is another one).

Have I posted about this 'very thing' before?.... I don't think so, but can you link me to that post if it exists.... I'm very sorry, but I had to report this comment as it is outlandish, rude, and false... Why do you like to troll my topic anyway?

That's what you think, people pay for the game in order to start their own servers and get into Premium servers of gametypes that people actually play... Nobody buys the game for Attack & Defend... at least not at the moment, but if it becomes popular (and the only way to do that is to make it a semi-standard gametypes, just face it), then more people will purchase at least a premium subscription... It is very simple.. Care to disagree?... Do you consider A&D or Harvester popular at the moment? Or, even better, can you think of anyone offhand who bought a subscription for A&D or Harvester or *gulp* 1 Flag CTF (Even though I hate it with a passion)??

Have you noticed most of your posts are complains more than requests, moreover talking about absolutely 0 different things than "asking" stuff to be added or modified from the game? Also lots of them are facepalm after facepalm.

Those threads still have original material... But foremost, I am making reasonable suggestions most of the time, and the sheer length of this post at least warrants some kind of discussion other than a simple you are wrong.... Why do I always have to defend myself when I am trying to make a point to the community, and some of my points, such as the original post on this topic, are constructive...

The issue is that almost all of your posts are generally complaining about something or another related to "Standards don't have this. Let's give it to them."

You wouldn't need to be 'defending' yourself if your posts actually had something different in them. It's similar to why some people accuse me of spamming a lot just because I have a large post count. They don't actually notice that a ton of my posts are repeat answers to people that don't search before making new threads.
