Yes it would. If you have very little space on your desk, you can try to learn playing russian style, which means that you holding the keyboard in your lap (below the desk). Give it a few weeks, perhaps it will "work" for you.

How big does the bump have to be before the qck mass can't fix it?
I've played QL on a couch several times. It only causes slight problems when people are moving on it though. However, I also am a high-sens player, so that might be one reason it's not as big of an issue
