here with AKG's velour earpads and an additional foam-mod I crafted to make the cushions taller for more soundstage. Took a little long to burn the thing in, and deform it to make it comfortable, but it's perfect now, one of my best buys ever.

    Cool

    Windows XP Pro 64 bit
AMD Athlon XP Quad 4.0 ghz
Radeon HD 6870 (w/ broken fan lolz) rigged my h100 corsair heatsink radiator sitting on top of the power supply right underneath the video card with the 2 cpu fans one blowing underneath it and one blowing @ it from the side , and when I want to get real extreme with accuracy in serious games.. I turn on my Tornado fan 5000 rpm (its so loud and annoying but headphones cancel most of it out most the time I keep it off )

2x 4 gig (8 Gig Corsair Xtreme Ram)
    Samsung Syncmaster 22" @ 120hz (800x600 mode r_mode 9 in-game)

Keeping your system cool as possible is key in these games mang.. especially in FPS games lower temps better reaction times you will notice.

My CPU has an adjustable vairable speed fan. The control for it is on the back of my tower Via the velcro that came with it. I wish I could control it with software, rather than a dial...

BUt I'm with you on cooling. I crank up the fan speed to about 75 peercent when I play. All but off when system is at Idle. My CPU is known for running hot as is, thus why I bought a fan with speed control.
