There's a poll on esr every year.

I can't recall anything above the rest released this year, but last year was awesome. Lots of instant classics, for example it's pekka 2. Best of 2010 was probably the contenders 2.

Thanks, I found the esr post but was a bit let down.

Both pekka 2 and contenders 2 are quake 3 movies, not even quake live... I was a bit let down, but great films of course.

The ESR post seems to be just competitive players and highlight reels from tournaments.

I still like my top 5 list over any of the movies on that ESR post. My top 5 are personal classics with a lot of views and popularity overall but I don't think the competitive scene gives them credit or counts them in.

I like this one. It's really fun to watch, not too serious, and doesn't have really awful dubstep/thrash metal/Rammstein/OTT Classical for the soundtrack.
