Mouse aim is only really effective with rail, anything else is insanely situation-specific
And depending on how you aim shaft, it can be. Most duelers just hover their mouse over the enemy unless they know they are going in a linear pattern.
Strenx is one of the few duelers who almost always mouse aims.

never said smooth aiming is noobish. If anything it's one of the most important aspects to lging. It's just some player rarely lift up their mouse to the center of the mouse pad and because of this their movement seems much smoother.

I just watched rapha's latest interview where he said "if you're going to dreamhack to come 2nd or to get out of the group you're wasting your time".
ouch for the vast majority of players in dreamhack that were aiming for that.
edit: he probably meant when someone has the potential to be the winner like him, that it's a waste of time if they then lazily show up without having put the work in to allow them to compete for first place.

Aways ensure you are maintaining a high FPS rate in QL. Otherwise you can be at a big disadvantage. To find out your current fps rate, use the command: "set cg_drawfps "1"".
