Quake live fails to continue installing after running plugin

Hi

I use Firefox 16 and after installing the QuakeLiveNP_520.msi plugin nothing happens, the setup does not continue after running the installer, the same also happens with Internet Explorer 9.

I'm using Windows 7 64, Avast anti-virus (disabled) and have tried running Firefox in administrator mode.

Could be because I'm using a 64 bit variant of Firefox (Waterfox)?

I dont personally know anyone that uses that for quakelive. Have you tried just plain old firefox?
Try using qlprism, it's nice too http://www.qlprism.us/

yes, i have the same problem too.....plugin installs but doesnt load game content!!! DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got it working using Internet Explorer 9 32-bit version, thanks for the qlprism link, will give it a go now.
