This is very subjective, as an author I do like the color scheme a lot

Ah, yeah -- that looks much better on the wider screen. As for the colors, I don't really have a huge issue with them other than the plain grey. The green and red look decent on a Mac, but not so much on Windows (Which I presume the majority of the players are). The yellow looks more like gold than yellow to me as well.
If the grey had a diagonal grid (grid like how the forum background is) or some noise to it (example to noise from cityy it'd look better to me.)

I will also agree with muckyman, i will also take the boos and hisses, i prefer it the way it is now, but thats not to say that i dont like what your doing namad! Its good to see people with innovation out there. Keep it up man! I really like the chat box you did though, kind of looks like facebook chat, i think they need to implement this, and add a chatbeep also.

Well, I want to keep it clean, 99% of colors are plain, without any textures or gradients applied. Less visual noise, more focus on functionality

I know there are a lot of ppl who happy with the current look and feel, personally I found it outdated (it was introduced 4 years ago, thats a very long time). Also there are some graphical glitches that is very annoying. I know, it's just my opinion, I always look from professional point of view since it's my job

+1 for advert box, frieldslist doesn't have that cut edge just to avoid small gap at the bottom. I know, it's only a photoshop picture, mockup, but I always keep in mind that this needs to be implemented somehow so I avoid complicated stuff just in case.

Very nice, looks smart. I like the four-across thumbnails, saves on scrolling.
