Hey have not played in awhile but looking to see where the competitive play is lately? Anything online for some new blood to get involved? Not to sound cocky and I hope I get flamed(although be nice, no need to get a thread locked) but quake has been host to the same tired names for to long. They all look beatable to me. Also I am US, mid-west, play all servers, even across the pond.

Thank you so much, exactly what I was looking for but my question is do they play random people?

It's funny because I know a lot of those people although they will not recognize this alias so I assume just sending a friend invite will go unnoticed they'll probably decline like " ****ing newb " lol cuz mostly all I do is FFA, I can never find anyone to duel with.

Do people still use mIRC? I heard Quakenet was a really good place to find games, also GameSurge. I'm from the days of EnterTheGame and then they switched to GameSurge but both of those servers look like ghost towns and Quakenet is more EU than anything, which is fine but, they whine sometimes about my ping being 100.

Quakenet is the place to be. Check out #quakelive and do a whois on some of the well known people and see what channels they're in.

Friend mortal1 and test at least. Mastab and slugor too.

Idle in some premium duel servers and I'm sure you'll get some opponents that will give you a run for your money.
