Has anyone noticed a change in pings to certain North American locations? One day they are alright, the next they are 30-50 ms higher? I don't think I am the only one, but what's going on?

I'm ususaly very steady with the ping. If it varies it won't be by more than 10 or so.
Sometimes I wonder...
"Why is that frisbee getting bigger?"
Then it hits me.
theres a common issue goin round on euro servers these days.. check the support section.
A terrifying thing happened to me a couple days ago, my ping went by 20 ms on LA, from 50 to 70.
LA and TX are the only servers I had 50 ms on, all others are 70-100 in North America. Luckily it seems to have gone back down.
