Long story short, we ended up in a no-internet surrounding for a while, so me and my friend play Quake 3 in LAN right now. But he never played anything besides CA so it's not really challenging because of how bad he is in duels/FFAs.
When i want to create a game, there is no CA gametype. So i was wondering if i could create an imitation of CA with cvars, giving all players all weapons and preferabely infinite ammo?

There's also a CA gametype on the CPMA mod (callvote), both vq3 and cpm.
And if you are forced to lan (lol) play coop games instead.
The OSP mod had a nice CA gametype as well. The mod is free to download.
In q3 load osp mod and start a team game mode (ctf, tdm ect) then in the console type /callvote mode 5 map q3dm6 (or whatever map you want, not all support ca)
This will reload the game with standard ca rules.
You can /callvote map to see a list of the maps you have to play on (note the numbers for the maps) Then you can just /callvote map 23 or whatever and skip typing the full names.

Ra3 has some of the best maps out there. RA2 was a bit more fun. I remember there were maps where the team who wasn't playing in the round could watch from behind glass in a waiting room of sorts.
