trustfund central -
promote QUAKE CTF
The people from #playquake on quakenet just did a ctf draft tournament(without prizes afaik). House of quake and clanbase admins can be found in this channel.
Great initiative. I'd like to help one way or another. I'd also like to play though I'm not able to at the moment.
FaceIT will organize the cup , waiting on their info
**** prize-sponser will be able to send through paypal only , and european event cup sponser will be able to send through out europe through mail " u'll require to give ur address " .****
prize pool for this draft 5v5 CTF cup :~
1st prize = 150 euro ( 30 euro for each player )
2nd prize = 125 euro ( 25 euro for each player)
3rd prize = 125 euro ( 25 euro for each player )
------note you can request for a 6months pro token in each of ur prize money but u will not get 1 or 2 euro change-----
prize pool for Tier5 (4v4) ctf cup:~
1st prize = ( 200 euro ) 50 euro each
2nd prize = ( 120 euro ) 30 euro each
3rd prize = ( 100 euro ) 25 euro each
prize is fixed but we may re-evaluate the 1st | 2nd | 3rd prize and scramble it alittle for the draft and the pro cup
we might add random equation of giving out tokens from any game we may nominate through action / best shot / or dejavu instances
thanks for the ideas and best of luck

Which 'team' is going to host and organize this? As I said right now the best one is faceit, therefore what should be done is sending them the prize money then they re-distribute it. Reasons are:
- Games are streamed in a studio. They fly people to milan just to cast games;
- Has by far the biggest amount of viewers and relevance in quake. Vastly more than other organizers that used to host ctf cups, to the point faceit would get 10x more than them because it's a recognized brand with followers;
- The best and most trust-worthy organizers (behind the scenes people). Very reachable on esreality, for example roychez;
- This would be their first ctf event, which leads to more advertising and hype.
- Other alternatives are the gd studio (rarely streams quake but he has more exposure to non-quake people than faceit) and lvluptv (tdmers).
A better prize distribution would be to have considerable more money for 1st place than 2nd and especially 3rd; for example 200, 125, 75. Also dollars look more impressive than euros, no matter the actual currency used to pay players.
Personally, I think the draft cup should have less prizes so the "official" cup looks more important compared to it and has a higher prize money, which attracts better players out of 'retirement'. Lets say the prize pool for draft could be 300, main cup 520 (I'd make it 220-600 though)
It has to be short. Leagues that last several months tend to get old and boring, unless they have a marvelous organization like 125fps cups and leagues.
edit: In the end what I want to say is you shouldn't organize this on your own or leave it in charge of someone that doesn't have a name in the community. Cups are as big as the brand behind it, so if you leave it to quake-live.tv or this world gamers arena thing then it will be completely meaningless (0 viewers with tier3 players, literally). It has to be one of the big ones.
Here's a ctf stream with clanbase's nations ctf grand final.
As you can see it has very few viewers for what it is. Reason is the stream it is on.
I'll be depending on my mentors since my availability is limited
