The algorithm is the same since 2009. So what was the old shuffling system?

well, i consider it old shuffling system when it allowed it to have actually different teams after the shuffle, which was the case for years but only recently left you with just one possibility how the teams are shuffled.

u dont need tier system for shuffle, u dont need elo ratings, u just need damage given per game for ca/tdm mode

I agree with that, except I'd substitute damage per game with damage per ROUND. obviously people who join late will have a lower score.
