- that 2% discount - this is always higher for online transactions (aka "card not present"), they probably pay like 2,9% which is typical here in Europe,
- transaction fee (up to €0,30),
- address verification fee (something like €0,10),
- monthly fees (for completeness).
So when you collect €4 (or $4), it can cost you up to €0,50 ($0,60).
That's still not the main reason why 1-month token is twice as expensive. But don't make it sound like the cost is flat 2%, as trying to sell 1 month of premium for €2, the cost would become 25%. And that's a lot!
But of course the real reason why 12-month sub is twice cheaper is just normal overselling, something every service provider in the world does to lower prices. And from looking at this thread, people who have ever bought anything with their own money are rather used to this practice.
Hmm. 5.99 sounds good.
yeah well, that stands to reason. Paying for a shorter commitment obviously will cost more.
Seriously, if you can't spend the extra $$ for a full year, then you need to find a better job or something. It isn't that expensive.
Maybe if you weren't so cheap you could commit. You do after all get enjoyment out of this game, don't you?
Huh? i don't understand magnedyne. Speak Engrish.
