    Did you want Pro? lol

Consider adding processing fees in the future for any subscription you may want to acquire.
yes i want pro. pretty sad that ID restricts maps that are only 12 years old because they are desprate for money. they are going backwards instead of forwards. this is the most restricted free to play game that ive ever seen. its horrible that normal players cant even vote, they cant do anything against hackers, spammers, etc. ID better make new content then restricting content if they want people to stay in the long run

you are so annoying man, all u do is cry cry cry. if u dont want pro then let it be. but just dont cry always. this was so predictable that after that update, ppl will still find a reason to complain, it doesnt matter what ID does, u just dont get satisfied. if pro is to expensive, then buy prem for 1 month, because that isnt really expensive, why do u need pro, to make ur own server?! there are many other ppl who can spawn server, the most important thing is, that u can play prem maps. but if u wont buy anything of that, im ok with that, but pls dont complain always and shut the hell up, because ID is just doing theire job.

    Professor,

Why would any business get 0 profit? I think the prices they charge are ok. If you don't have money, get a job. Too lazy? Ask your mom.

A business goal is to generate positive profit.

Buying 12 months in one hit might seem expensive, but it's better value - just like buying a huge box of cornflakes is better value than two small ones.

This is now Mike's Cornflake Law.

What you intentionally forgot to mention is that every card processor charges:
    - that 2% discount - this is always higher for online transactions (aka "card not present"), they probably pay like 2,9% which is typical here in Europe,
    - transaction fee (up to 0,30),
    - address verification fee (something like 0,10),
    - monthly fees (for completeness).

So when you collect 4 (or $4), it can cost you up to 0,50 ($0,60).

That's still not the main reason why 1-month token is twice as expensive. But don't make it sound like the cost is flat 2%, as trying to sell 1 month of premium for 2, the cost would become 25%. And that's a lot!

But of course the real reason why 12-month sub is twice cheaper is just normal overselling, something every service provider in the world does to lower prices. And from looking at this thread, people who have ever bought anything with their own money are rather used to this practice.

yeah well, that stands to reason. Paying for a shorter commitment obviously will cost more.

Seriously, if you can't spend the extra $$ for a full year, then you need to find a better job or something. It isn't that expensive.

Maybe if you weren't so cheap you could commit. You do after all get enjoyment out of this game, don't you?
