    saving sensitivity permanently

Every time I open a new browser i.e Google chrome and play-quake live my sensitivity resets is keep having to change my sensitivity each time, is there a way to permanently save my sensitivity on quake live.

If I open new tabs no problem but when close all of Google chrome and open it again later and jump on quake live my sens always drops back to 4? and i have to keep changing it in game.

and I have not been clearing the cache or browser history.

    any help would be appreciated.

    many thanks
    shakil

Set your sensitivity then do \writeconfig autoexec from the console.

^ If cl_allowConsoleChat is enabled, you have to use backslash before cmds and cvars. I don't know what settings people use, but whatever they use, they might get confused about what exactly to put in console, so I use backslash to specify where the console input begins, and bold all input so it's clear where it ends.

A bit sad that game is still unable to save your settings without reaching out for the console. Not very user friendly to the new players.

Actually, I suspect the problem is that shakil already has an autoexec.cfg which overrides his sensitivity changes. Otherwise, it should stay and maybe even be saved server-side and used on any other computer for the same account.
So I'd look for that. Get rid of it if you have one (or rename it to something else) or /writeconfig autoexec.cfg as others suggested. But keep in mind that having such a file will always have that "reseting" effect.

Unless you do a /writeconfig autoexec after you change any settings

It absolutely should if there is no autoexec.cfg

The only thing I can think of that would cause otherwise is if qzconfig and/or repconfig was set to read only, or the directory was read only for the permissions allowed by the game.
