Hi

I've got a trouble. When i open certain demo wolfcam shows:

HUNK_ALLOCATETEMPMEMORY: FAILED ON 529180

And when i open another one, after few minutes shows:

HUNK_ALLOC FAILED ON 580320

...
W T F?
Could sb explain me what is this and how to solve it?

How much RAM does your computer have, and how close to it's max is it? try looking at the windows task manager and then clicking the performance tab: my guess is that when you run wolfcam your CPU usage is close to 100, should be around 20 ish, all I can suggest is only run wolfcam on it's own?

You most likely wont be able to run wolfcam, reduce the com_hunkmegs in console and try reloading wolfcamql or alternatively try setting a different value in your .cfg found in %appdata%/wolfcamql/wolfcam-ql

I think the problem here is your ram, as I do not believe you have enough ram for wolfcam to run properly and use all of its resources (even mine tends to lag when I use it with q3mme fx and I have 8gb ram)
It sounds like you are trying this on a laptop imo.

Also your video card may have a factor as well as your ram. It could hinder your performance and may not even be able to work.

Also may I ask the reason you are using wolfcam, perhaps there is an alternative program for what you are trying to do.
Also @Earth_Quake wolfcam does not normally use 20% usage that is based on your rig, mine runs at 60% with wolfcam, however I still get my work done due to 8gb of ram.

I have quite an old PC (top of the range at the time) with 2Gb RAM and wolfcam runs fine apart from the odd problem. I don't know much about hardware really, but I don't think his RAM is the problem. I also use about 60% memory using wolfcam, typically 10% normally.

Is this when running wolfcam or not? If this is when wolfcam is not running, there is your problem, one over used computer! If not, I give up.

No, its only when wolfcamql runs, so its normal.
Other demos are running perfectly. Except only those 2

Oh ok it's specific demos... that's different... which maps are these demos, are they particularly data intensive e.g. quarantine with rockets flying everywhere? And as raise hinted at what .fx file are you using? (cg_fxfile). If you use an fx that emits a lot of particles wolfcam will start to lag slightly.

Hi

First map which cant run is scornforge, the one with bug after few minutes is siberia, both standard pub ctf without any mods.
I have another today, reflux, and its on pql ruleset with dmflags to make fastcaps: HUNK_ALLOC FAILED ON 529184.
I use wolfcamql to make movies and to watch demos sometimes
