So they are both ps2? That's pretty unusual for a mouse nowadays.
i'm experiencing the same problems since yesterday.
i didin't install/update anything (maybe win update?), game was working perfectly until 2 days ago.
usb mouse and keyboard, win7 64 bit, firefox.
not on your own all this has happened sinse update its not your system
happens to me as well
did a format and fresh install win7 64bit
fresh install of quake live, new drivers,
fresh install firefox
after a while , anywhere from 3- 25 min ............. total lockup
tried deleting and reinstalling firefox, same
i can play all other games
firefox is fine while browsing, but ql crashes
error report on startup says problem:bluescreen
got me stumped

Startup of Windows you mean? Blue screens give you a dump file that you can examine, google for info on how.Originally Posted by ArseKraK

When you say QL crashes, do you mean it just freezes completely? Or does the plug-in crash, or the game? If it crashes do you get an error message? If so can you paste the "more info" or "advanced" stuff it spits out?

when i reset pc i get a windows message

Pure Sanity
If it just freezes right out can you close it with ctrl+alt+delete or toggle away? If not it might be a heat issue, check your temps.
