Hello i have found my q3base folder looking for it for a long time .
so i would like to get a new config like a good one if somebody can copy and paste there config in reply because my config sucks right now.
And when i would put that config in the folder what file would i put it in the q3base folder.
Nowadays this isn't really necessary. Other than cl_maxpackets 125 and rate 25000, 95% of everything you need is in the in-game esc menu.
Just start a practice game and get it how you like it and /writeconfig autoexec.cfg
Repeat this when you make changes you want to keep.
It's all about finding out what works for you. What works for them may not work for you at all. there is no magic .cfg
Disable post processing unless your pc can nail 125fps using it.
You really need to read through this thread...

I'm making a shortened console list guide with recommendations, but won't be done for at least a week.
There are 1,274 commands+cvars, which I shortened to 232 cvars and 55 commands by removing the ineffectuals and stuff you really don't need to worry about.
Explaining them all and adding recommendations/ideas.
actuaklly to be 100% precise there are 1,275 commans + cvars!

Now you have a config that is in every way as good as the next guys. I have a cleaned up config which is the result from years of tinkering in q3 and it is in almost every aspect the same as id's "high performence config", go figure, time well spent.
How did you determine that? :-)

I suppose my line count could have been off since I had to do it a bit manually by subtracting the extra lines made by cvars like sv_paknames.
